Bandung Unforgettable Tour

     Monday, April 30th. We (STP Sahid students of Tour & Travel department) went to Bandung for practice exam. We starts our tour at 06.30 am, and before we leaving from our campus we were doing meeting service and it was one of our practice to check all baggage and all participant. Our itinerary that day were visit some tourist objects in Bandung, there are Gedung Merdeka, Braga Street, Saung angklung Udjo, Tangkuban Perahu and Cihampelas for shopping time. We go to Bandung through Cipularang freeway. Along the journey to Bandung we were doing our practice for guiding, so we can get a lot of information along our journey.
     Arround 11.30 am, we arrived in Bandung city and direct to Gedung Merdeka as our first destination. Gedung Merdeka is an art-deco building in Jalan Asia-Afrika, Bandung, Indonesia. Today it serves as a museum displaying collections and photographs of the Asian–African Conference, the first Non-Aligned Movement that was held there in 1955. In this place we were guided by a local guide, so we got a lot of information about it. After visited Gedung Merdeka our planned was visit Jalan Braga for taking a picture but at that time the weather was very hot, so we changed our plan to have a city tour. So we just saw the Bandung city and enjoy the situation there.

     Then we visit Saung angklung Udjo to see the Angklung performance and it was very interesting program because we not only see the performance of Angklung but also we can played Angklung instrument together and we also dance together in the end of the program, we also got the welcome drink there are tea and bandrek, bandrek is one of traditional beverage in Bandung, it made from ginger and it has very deliciuous taste. After that program we continued to have stay in Wisma Pandawa at Ciumbuleuit area. The weather was very cold because it was raining, and we having dinner at the Hotel. We have very nice stayed because we were very tired and the weather was cold.
     In the morning, we having breakfast at the Hotel and checked out. After that, we continued to our next destination, visit Tangkuban Perahu. Tangkuban perahu located in plantation area, along our journey to reach Tangkuban Perahu we could see beautiful scenery of Bandung. That was long journey to reach Tangkuban Perahu, but finally we reached that place. We arrived at parking area and continue to Tangkuban Perahu with shuttle car. That was amazing scenery of Tangkuban Perahu, we just taking a picture and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Tangkuban Perahu also famous with the legend of Dayang Sumbi and her son named Sangkuriang, and it named tangkuban perahu because the mount looks like an upside boat.

     The last program was visit Cihampelas for shopping program, that place was served various kind of souvenir and typical foods of Bandung. There are also Ciwalk/ Cihampelas walk it is an shopping mall in Cihampelas, but if you want to get the cheaper price please shopping along the road and don't forget to bargain. But, i didn't shopping very much because i didn't have a lot of money. Then, we continued to back to our campus, the tour was end, and it was really unforgettable tour.
